Typeface Design Ideation: Sketch and Scope

Troy Leinster
Coming up with a fresh new idea for a typeface can be daunting. Where do I start? Is it for text or display? How many weights will I draw? These are some of the questions you’ll find answers to during this two-day intensive type sketch and scope workshop for graphic designers and those interested in typeface design.
Together we’ll explore idea generation methods and how to push your creative boundaries to discover new and exciting letterforms. You’ll learn how to sketch type, explore contrast, and develop a plan for your typeface family.
