About Laura Meseguer

Laura Meseguer Toni Ricart
Laura Meseguer is a freelance designer, educator, typographer and type designer based in Barcelona, Spain. Her activity is developed in the field of commercial work and personal projects. She specializes in any kind of project based on typography, from lettering for monograms and logotypes to custom typefaces and book design. She is a co-founder of the Type-Ø-Tones, her own type foundry, from which she publishes and promotes all her typefaces. She is the co-author of “How to Create Typefaces. From sketch to screen” published by Tipo e. She is a member of the ATypI Board since 2017. In 2020 she had her first solo exhibition “The Beautiful People”, curated by Eider Corral, organized by Blanc! and La Sala at Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona). This exhibition presented a kind of prospective monograph, a showcase that is more of a look forward than a backward glance and highlights the relational nature of her professional practice, between people and disciplines and connected to contemporary cultural practices as well.
